This is a composite image that is only useful at night.
One can use it to distinguish fog from clouds. Fog appears aqua. Anything reddish or whitish is a thick cloud. Clear ground appears tan or bluish.

Both Astronomers and Pilots care about accurate predictions of clouds. Since aviation has a greater economic benefit, Pilots get better weather forecasts.
